The Festival Cookery School is back! This time the venue is The Kitchen Academy – Bangor’s new Cookery School, owned by chef and culinary educator, Kim Close, who’ll be headmistress for the duration of the Festival school!
A member of the Real Bread Campaign, Kim trained with renowned chef and baker, Richard Bertinet, and believes that if you’re going to eat bread, it should be great bread!
At this hands-on workshop, you’ll make different types of both yeast and non-yeast breads, then eat a delicious lunch of fresh, local ingredients – with plenty of bread, naturally! At the end of the day you’ll leave with the confidence and skills to bake your own bread and a selection to take home for supper.
*All ingredients, equipment and aprons will be provided, as well as take-home recipe packs.
