Alan Johnson – In My Life
In conversation with Stephen Walker
We’re thrilled to welcome former Labour cabinet minister and award winning author Alan Johnson back to Bangorfor his third visit to the festival – this time to talk about the soundtrack of his life. From Bob Dylan to David Bowie, and Lonnie Donnegan to his beloved Beatles, his latest book, In My Life, charts Alan’s years as a young aspiring musician, a postman, a prominent Union member and an MP.
But this isn’t just a book about music. As he’ll be telling BBC political correspondent, Stephen Walker, it adds a fourth dimension to the fascinating story of Alan Johnson the man.
Alan will be signing copies of In My Life at the end of the event
