Communion Belfast
Communion was born in 2006 at Notting Hill Arts Club in London. Founded by Ben Lovett (Mumford and Sons) and Kevin Jones (Cherbourg), it grew into a community of musicians, industry, and fans alike, and provided a platform for the newest bands on London's circuit. The night has hosted the likes of Noah and the Whale, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons, JJ Pistolet, and Peggy Sue. In 2009 after regular sell out nights, Communion launched sister nights in Brighton, Leeds, Bristol, Dublin, and in Sydney, Australia. And now it is coming to Belfast.

Matthew and the Atlas
"Matthew and the Atlas is the brilliant invention of Matt Hegarty who supported Mumford and Sons on our last UK tour in Reading. All of us and the remainder of the audience were awestruck by his voice, his lyrics, his vibe. Like a UK cross between Bon Iver and Ray Lamontagne." Ben Lovett, Mumford and Sons
“A powerful and comforting piece of music that is more than impressive for a debut” Q

Marcus Foster
"We first came across Marcus last year and instantly fell in love with his unique and sometimes eccentric vocal style and when we booked him for Communion in London he totally blew us away live - the energy he gives out on stage is amazing." Communion HQ

Pete Roe
Pete Roe is one of those mysterious characters. Essentially he’s a bearded, straw hat wearing, twenty-something man who plays in Laura Marling’s live band. But look beyond the beard and you’ll find a beautifully talented singer/songwriter.
If you could bottle the sounds and the pleasure of a sunny stroll through rural England then it would sound like Pete’s new EP, The Merry-Go-Round. It’s a wonderful record that I’m looking forward to hearing at this summers festivals.
