At First Light is the most exciting new band in Irish music, and comes from right here on our own doorstep.

The individual members of this Belfast-based five-piece are all musical heavyweights in their own right, and it all started as an album project between world class uilleann piper John McSherry and the outstanding young fiddle player Dónal O'Connor. The line-up now includes Francis McIlduff, from the famous McPeake clan, who gives the band the rare power of double uilleann pipes, plus Asturien bouzouki player Rubén Bada, and singer Alan Burke, a previous Open House Artist-in-Residence.
