THE PINE LEAF BOYS are at the forefront of a new wave of Cajun and Creole music that is sweeping their Louisiana homeland. This group of five guys in their early 20s all live together in the same shotgun house near downtown Lafayette. With their hard-rocking approach to the old acoustic instruments, they are re-energising the music and filling the dance halls with new, young audiences who want to party.

The line-up is Wilson Savoy, Cedric Watson, Blake Miller, Drew Simon and Jon Bertrand on, respectively, accordion, fiddle, double bass, drums and guitar, but the band are all multi-instrumentalists and have a habit of swapping instruments on stage.

The Pine Leaf Boys will also play each afternoon (Fri-Mon) at ChilliFest in the Festival Marquee, Custom House Square.
