To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the King’s death, Open House presents a specially commissioned show, bringing you the voice of Elvis with an authentic, all-acoustic, firecracker Bluegrass band.

Jim Brown not only looks unnervingly like the King, he is the closest you’ll ever hear to the real thing, with a voice like tupelo honey. Jim has released two albums – Gravelands and Return to Splendour, performing songs by late great artists like Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix, as Elvis would have sung them. (Both albums get 4.5 star ratings on Amazon.)

Providing the music for Jim will be the excellent Broken String Band, with the classic five-piece, Bluegrass line-up of double bass, acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin and banjo. Expect sharp suits and a dash of Bril Cream.

Following tonight’s concert, our Open House Festival DJ will be spinning country, Bluegrass and rock ‘n’ roll classics from the likes of Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and Elvis himself.
