Crooked Still are a hot young alternative bluegrass band “on a mission to bend the boundaries of traditional music” playing completely acoustic traditional American songs and tunes with “rock ‘n’ roll energy”. The unlikely combination of banjo, cello and double-bass, with captivating vocals and high-wire solos, are enrapturing audiences all over North America and Europe.
These are great young musicians with an insatiable thirst to recreate the music for their own generation. Greg Liszt, the bands stellar banjo player, has recently been on loan to Bruce Springsteen and his Band as they tour in the wake of the massively successful Pete Seegar recordings. Awesome!

Beoga are an exciting young five piece from County Antrim who create a completely unique sound, with the duelling accordions of Seán Óg Graham and Damian McKee, superb bodhran playing from four times All-Ireland champion Eamon Murray, Liam Bradley's jazzy piano, and singing and fiddle from acclaimed Limerick musician, Niamh Dunne. In 2005 they were nominated by Irish Music Magazine for the best traditional newcomer’s award. Their music is described as ranging "from bluesy riffs to Astor Piazzola-style jazz, to a raunchy New Orleans jamboree vibe." Their debut album "A lovely madness" got 9 out of 10 in the Hotpress reviews. All this and Crooked Still for a mere flim.
"A phenomenon... madcap genius, master craftsmen." Irish Music Magazine
